Sun Pharma to acquire 18.75% stake in Israeli Co-Tarsius

Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries announced that one of the wholly owned subsidiaries of the company has agreed to acquire shares of Tarsius Pharma, ('Tarsius'), Israel, by way of subscription of 345,622 ordinary shares of nominal value of NIS 0.01 each, representing 18.75% of shares of Tarsius, on a fully diluted basis.

The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till Sep. 10, 2018, rising 16.62% compared with the Sensex's 0.14% rise. It outperformed the market in past one quarter, gaining 35.97% as against 7.36% rise in the Sensex.

Shares of the company gained Rs 6.35, or 0.99%, to trade at Rs 645.85. The total volume of shares traded was 129,667 at the BSE (9.37 a.m., Tuesday).
