Rural Electrification Corporation (REC) has entered into Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO) and Tamil Nadu Transmission Corporation (TANTRANSCO) for extending financial assistance to the tune of Rs 857.23 billion, i.e. financial assistance upto Rs 600.63 billion to TANGEDCO and upto Rs 256.60 billion to TANTRANSCO.

Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was lower by 58.15% to 4,899,306 compared with 22-day average volume of 11,705,565.

Shares of the company gained Rs 4.25, or 1.98%, to settle at  Rs 218.95.  The total volume of shares traded  was  717,500 at the BSE (Monday).
