Punj Lloyd, engaged into engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), announced winning of Rs 4.77 billion (USD 75 million) tankage order from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries of Japan.
The scope of work entails confirmatory geotechnical investigation, early earth works, construction of two 180,000 m3 capacity full containment LNG Tanks on elevated piled foundation for LNG import, storage and re-gasification terminal project of Indian Oil Corporation at Ennore port in Tamil Nadu, India.
Once completed, the LNG imported to the Ennore terminal will be used by utility company power generation plants as an alternative fuel and as feedstock by fertiliser plants, the company said.
The project is expected to be completed in 33 months. With this win, Punj Lloyd Group's order backlog reaches Rs 221.71 billion. The order backlog is the value of unexecuted orders on Mar. 31, 2015 plus new orders received after that date.
Shares of the company gained Rs 2.15, or 7.96%, to trade at Rs 29.15. The total volume of shares traded was 1,493,819 at the BSE (11.49 a.m., Monday).
