Maruti Suzuki India, the largest passenger cars maker in India, announced a sold 151,351 units in January 2018, which was 4.8% higher compared with 144,396 units in January 2017.
The company's domestic sales during the month stood at 140,600 units, compared with 133,934 units in January last year, representing a rise of 5%.
The company exported 10,751 vehicles in January 2018, which was 2.8% higher compared with 10,462 units sold in January 2017.
Shares of the company declined Rs 42.85, or 0.45%, to trade at Rs 9,471.30. The total volume of shares traded was 10,103 at the BSE (11.01 a.m., Thursday).
