Kalpataru Power bags new orders worth Rs 12.35 bn

Kalpataru Power Transmission (KPTL), a leading global EPC player in the power and infrastructure contracting sector has secured new orders / notification of award of Rs 12.35 billion.

The first order for Railway infrastructure construction from Bangladesh Railways in a consortium wherein KPTL's share is Rs 5.53 billion.

Second orders for transmission line and substation in Tajikistan and India totalling Rs 3.46 billion.

The third order for design, supply, erection, testing & commissioning for railway electrification, signaling and associated civil works from RVNL for Rs 1.85 billion in a consortium.

Order for laying of pipeline & associated works of Rs 1.51 billion from Andhra Pradesh Gas Distribution Corporation.

Manish Mohnot, Managing Director & CEO, KPTL said, ''We are pleased with the new order wins. This reiterates our focus to strengthen our order book across all our businesses. Our strong order book position in T&D, Railways and Oil & Gas Pipeline businesses has strengthened our leadership position in the EPC segments that we operate. Overall, these orders lay a strong foundation for a profitable growth in financial year 2018-19.''

Shares of the company declined Rs 11.65, or 2.91%, to settle at Rs 388.40. The total volume of shares traded was 5,752 at the BSE (Thursday).
