JSW Steel, an integrated steel manufacturer, has reported a growth of 5% in crude steel production to 1.33 million tonnes for February 2018. JSW's flat rolled products production during the month gained 2% to 0.91 million tonnes from 0.90 million tonnes over last year period.
The company witnessed a gained 36% in the production of long rolled products to 0.34 million tonnes in February 2018 from 0.25 million tonnes in the same period last year.
The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till Mar. 13, 2018, rising 8.68% compared with the Sensex's 1.29% decline. It outperformed the market in past one quarter, gaining 19.16% as against 2.43% rise in the Sensex.
Shares of the company declined Rs 0.4, or 0.13%, to trade at Rs 303.00. The total volume of shares traded was 64,045 at the BSE (10.26 a.m., Wednesday).
