Hero MotoCorp (HMCL), the leading two-wheeler manufacturer in India, on Tuesday surged over 3% after the company posted its highest-ever monthly sales in October.
The company reported a surge of 35% in its total two-wheeler sales to 806,848 units in the month of October. It sold 5,99,248 units, in the corresponding month of the previous year.
Motorcycle sales stood at 732,498 units in October 2020 as against 552,672 in October 2019, registering a robust growth of 24.5%. Meanwhile, the two-wheeler manufacturer sold 74,350 units of scooters in October 2020 as against 46,576 units in the same month last year, up by 37.35%.
Company's domestic sales jumped 34.77% at 7,91,137 units against 5,86,988 units in October 2019.The company exported 15,711 two-wheeler in October 2020 as compared to 12,660 units in October 2019.
Shares of Hero Motocorp was quoting at Rs 2,932.05 or Rs 97.45, or 3.44% on the BSE (1.30 p.m).
