Gujarat Alkalies & Chemicals announced that commercial production has started at the new 32,000 TPA Poly Aluminium Chloride Plant (18% PAC) at Coelho Complex, Vadodara on July 31, 2018. The estimated increase in top-line of the Company by this production from this new plant is about Rs 330 million.

The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till Aug. 01, 2018, rising 0.44% compared with the Sensex's 5.92% rise. It underperformed the market in past one quarter, declining 28.33% as against 6.72% rise in the Sensex.

Shares of the company declined Rs 1, or 0.18%, to trade at Rs 553.00. The total volume of shares traded was 5,597 at the BSE (10.01 a.m., Thursday).
