Goa Carbon said Tuesday the operations at the company's Goa Plant located at St. Jose de Areal, Salcete-Goa, has been temporarily shut down from July 21. "There would not be any financial impact due to the temporary shutdown of the company's Goa Unit on account of sufficient inventory of finished material," the company said. 

Earlier, the company announced temporarily shut down at the company's Paradeep plant located at located at Vill. Udayabata, Paradeepgarh, Dist.Jagatsinghpur, Orissa for regular maintenance work.

Shares of the company declined Rs 1.55, or 1.97%, to trade at Rs 76.95. The total volume of shares traded was 6,004 at the BSE (3.24 p.m., Tuesday).
