Dhanuka Agritech (DAL) launched its herbicide- -"SEMPRA" CIB 9(3) Registration under the insecticides act, 1968. SEMPRA is an acclaimed product of Nissam Chemical Industries, Japan and has been launched for the first time in Indian by DAL, for control of weeds adversely affecting sugar-cane crop.

RG Agarwal, chairman of the company said, "We are very excited about SEMPRA. We except that all sugarcane growing areas like Maharashtra, UP, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat, Punjab & Haryana will benefit from this new product. This will have positive impact on crop yields and farmers' income."

Shares of the company gained Rs 1.85, or 0.36%, to trade at Rs 515. The total volume of shares traded was 370 at the BSE (10.55 a.m., Friday).
