Avantha Group company Crompton Greaves (CG) has bagged an order valued at Rs 4.10 billion (approx USD 62 million) from PT PLN Indonesia for manufacture and supply of power transformers.
The scope of work includes design, manufacture, supply, construction and installation of these power transformers in the range of 30MVA to 268MVA.
Power transformers will be installed in Java, Sumatra, Kalimantan and Makassar islands of Indonesia. The project is aimed at enhancing the performance of PT PLN's transmission grid.
The contract was secured through a highly competitive open book bid. CG was selected for this prestigious project due to its successful track record in Indonesia, backed by a global recognition of its technical expertise in manufacturing and supplying high-voltage transformers at the best quality to price ratio.
Shares of the company gained Rs 0.1, or 0.06%, to trade at Rs 170.40. The total volume of shares traded was 60,335 at the BSE (12.24 p.m., Thursday).
