Bodal Chemicals, India's leading manufacturer and marketer of Dye and Dye intermediates, has invested and acquired around 42% stake in Trion Chemicals.

The object for the acquisition of the company is for expansion and diversification in the business of Speciality Chemicals sector apart from Dyes and Dyes intermediates. This open new wings and new line of activity for the company.

Trion Chemicals has recently started manufacturing of Speciality Chemicals and the turnover of the company for the FY16 was Nil.   

Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was lower by 69.18% to 268,681 compared with 22-day average volume of 871,852.

Shares of the company declined Rs 0.7, or 0.51%, to trade at Rs 135.35. The total volume of shares traded was 54,753 at the BSE (1.08 p.m., Thursday).
