BGR Energy Systems, an EPC company, has forayed into large size Water Treatment business by bagging two large value contracts worth Rs 6.50 billion. Including this order, the company carries over an order book of Rs 104.25 billion.
The first contract worth Rs 2.09 billion is for Water Treatment Plant package for 3 x 800 MW Unit of APPDCL, Krishnapatnam Stage 1 & 2 at Nellore, A.P. The aggregate treatment capacity of these plants are more than 55 million litres per day (MLD) and these units will be completed over 23 months.
The second contract worth Rs 4.40 billion is from Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewaracie Board (CMWSSB) for Tertiary Treatment Reverse Osmosis (TTRO) Plant of 45 MLD capacity at Kodungaiyur, Chennai.
The contract value of Rs 4.40 billion consists of Rs 2.35 billion for construction of plant and transmission pipelines and Rs 2.05 billion for O&M for subsequent 15 years. The Project is funded by World Bank and tender witnessed stiff qualification requirements and competition.
Shares of the company declined Rs 0.1, or 0.08%, to trade at Rs 125.30. The total volume of shares traded was 55,678 at the BSE (11.49 a.m., Thursday).
