Ashok Leyland, the commercial vehicle manufacturer, has reported an increase of 26% in sales in September 2018. The company sold 19,373 units as against 15,371 units sold in the same period of last year.
Ashok Leyland experienced a robust growth of 21% in its medium and heavy commercial vehicles products segment to 14,232 units in September 2018, the company said.
The company's large commercial vehicle (LCV) witnessed a rise of 44% to 5,141 units.
Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was higher by 4.71% to 18,605,024 compared with 22-day average volume of 17,768,296.
Shares of the company declined Rs 4.55, or 3.82%, to trade at Rs 114.50. The total volume of shares traded was 1,075,383 at the BSE (11.49 a.m., Monday).
