Welspun Corp disclosed a sharp rise in consolidated net profit for the quarter ended March 2017. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 5.25 times to Rs 685.90 million from Rs 130.60 million in the same quarter previous year. Revenues for the quarter rose 9.94% to Rs 21,725.00 million, compared with Rs 19,760 million for the prior year period.
Operating margin for the quarter stood at 11.20 percent as compared to 7.70 percent for the previous year period. Operating Income for the quarter was Rs 2,432.20 million, compared with Rs 1521.4 million in the previous year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 2.77, registering 6.60 times growth over previous year period.
