Voltas announced a sharp rise in consolidated net profit for the quarter ended June 2016. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 53.72% to Rs 1,576.20 million from Rs 1,025.40 million in the same quarter previous year. Revenues for the quarter rose 18.60% to Rs 18,551.80 million, compared with Rs 15,643 million for the prior year period.
Operating margin for the quarter stood at 10.76 percent as compared to 8.39 percent for the previous year period. Operating Income for the quarter was Rs 1,995.40 million, compared with Rs 1313 million in the previous year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 4.76, registering 53.55% growth over previous year period.
