Tamil Nadu Newsprint & Papers disclosed a good increase in standalone net profit for the quarter ended December 2015. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 24.35% to Rs 468.30 million from Rs 376.60 million in the same quarter last year.
Revenues for the quarter rose marginally 1.38% to Rs 4,811.20 million, compared with Rs 4,746 million for the prior year period.
Operating margin for the quarter stood at 17.91 percent as compared to 17.00 percent for the previous year period. Operating Income for the quarter was Rs 861.50 million, compared with Rs 807 million in the previous year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 6.77, registering 24.45% growth over previous year period.

Shares of the company declined Rs 2.9, or 1.14%, to settle at Rs 251.80. The total volume of shares traded was 28,466 at the BSE (Tuesday).
