Ponni Sugars (Erode) announced a sharp rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended September 2016. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 74.31 times to Rs 96.60 million from Rs 1.30 million in the same quarter last year.
Revenues for the quarter rose 27.06% to Rs 738.20 million, compared with Rs 581 million for the prior year period.
Operating margin for the quarter stood at 212.95 percent as compared to 55.08 percent for the previous year period. Operating Income for the quarter was Rs 1,572.00 million, compared with Rs 320 million in the previous year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 11.23, registering 74.87 times growth over previous year period.
