Manappuram Finance disclosed a sharp rise in consolidated net profit for the quarter ended September 2016. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 3.05 times to Rs 1,923.96 million from Rs 630.30 million in the same quarter previous year.
Revenues for the quarter jumped 52.44% to Rs 8,422.56 million, compared with Rs 5,525 million for the prior year period.
Operating margin for the quarter stood at 71.23 percent as compared to 63.62 percent for the previous year period. Operating Income for the quarter was Rs 5,999.14 million, compared with Rs 3515.16 million in the previous year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 2.29, registering 3.05 times growth over previous year period.

Shares of the company declined Rs 7.2, or 7.05%, to trade at Rs 94.95. The total volume of shares traded was 701,574 at the BSE (11.03 a.m., Friday).
