Mahindra & Mahindra announced a sharp drop in standalone net profit for the quarter ended December 2015. During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 14.24% to Rs 8,079.90 million from Rs 9,421.40 million in the same quarter previous year.
Revenues for the quarter rose 16.77% to Rs 110,082.90 million, compared with Rs 94,273 million for the prior year period.
Operating margin for the quarter stood at 11.29 percent as compared to 10.55 percent for the previous year period. Operating Income for the quarter was Rs 12,424.50 million, compared with Rs 9942.4 million in the previous year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 13.01, registering 14.24% decline over previous year period.

Shares of the company declined Rs 14.45, or 1.28%, to trade at Rs 1,111.55. The total volume of shares traded was 148,948 at the BSE (12.23 p.m., Friday).
