Lakshmi Energy and Foods swung to a profit for the quarter ended June 2016. During the quarter, the company reported a profit of Rs 182.47 million compared with a loss of Rs 146.23 million in the same quarter last year.
Revenues for the quarter surged 70.55% to Rs 2,676.20 million, compared with Rs 1,569 million for the prior year period.
Operating margin for the quarter stood at 12.76 percent as compared to 8.62 percent for the previous year period. Operating Income for the quarter was Rs 341.56 million, compared with Rs 135.2 million in the previous year period.
Earnings per share stood at Rs 2.69 compared with negative Rs 2.20 in the same quarter last year.
