Kalpataru Power Transmission disclosed a substantial rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended March 2017. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 36.59% to Rs 896.00 million from Rs 656.00 million in the same quarter last year. Revenues for the quarter rose 12.18% to Rs 15,225.00 million, compared with Rs 13,572 million for the prior year period.
Operating margin for the quarter stood at 10.33 percent as compared to 9.78 percent for the previous year period. Operating Income for the quarter was Rs 1,572.70 million, compared with Rs 1327.2 million in the previous year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 5.84, registering 36.45% growth over previous year period.
Manish Mohnot, Managing Director & CEO, KPTL, said, ''We have achieved our planned growth on profitability for 2016-17 with improved contribution from transmission line and railways projects. We continue to focus on improving our return ratios with profitable growth. We are confident of achieving 15-20% growth in both KPTL and JMC for next year, on the back of good order book visibility. We will continue to focus on cost reduction and productivity norms to achieve profitable growth.''
