Hindustan Copper announced a sharp drop in standalone net profit for the quarter ended September 2016. During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 11.04% to Rs 67.70 million from Rs 76.10 million in the same quarter previous year.
Revenues for the quarter declined 10.40% to Rs 2,137.20 million, compared with Rs 2,385.40 million for the prior year period.
Operating margin for the quarter stood at 4.05 percent as compared to 7.73 percent for the previous year period. Operating Income for the quarter was Rs 86.60 million, compared with Rs 184.4 million in the previous year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 0.07, registering 12.50% decline over previous year period.

Shares of the company declined Rs 0.55, or 0.9%, to trade at Rs 60.60. The total volume of shares traded was 67,912 at the BSE (10.30 a.m., Wednesday).
