Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation announced a sharp rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended June 2016. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 58.94% to Rs 1,148.01 million from Rs 722.31 million in the same quarter previous year.
Revenues for the quarter rose 26.79% to Rs 3,992.99 million, compared with Rs 3,149 million for the prior year period.
Operating margin for the quarter stood at 34.83 percent as compared to 31.24 percent for the previous year period. Operating Income for the quarter was Rs 1,390.79 million, compared with Rs 983.77 million in the previous year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 3.61, registering 59.03% growth over previous year period.

Shares of the company gained Rs 8.25, or 9.1%, to trade at Rs 98.90. The total volume of shares traded was 642,399 at the BSE (10.16 a.m., Tuesday).
