Coromandel International, a manufacturer of fertilisers and pesticides, announced a sharp drop in consolidated net profit for the quarter ended March 2015. During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 15.06% to Rs 686.60 million from Rs 808.30 million in the same quarter previous year.
Net sales for the quarter rose 36.68% to Rs 30,109.30 million, compared with Rs 22,030 million for the prior year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 2.35, registering 16.37% decline over previous year period.
Shares of the company declined Rs 10.6, or 4.41%, to trade at Rs 229.95. The total volume of shares traded was 22,328 at the BSE (3.02 p.m., Thursday).
