Container Corporation Of India announced a marginal decline in standalone net profit for the quarter ended December 2016. During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 9.56% to Rs 1,859.90 million from Rs 2,056.60 million in the same quarter previous year.
Revenues for the quarter declined marginally 4.81% to Rs 14,149.30 million, compared with Rs 14,864.00 million for the prior year period.
Operating margin for the quarter stood at 18.46 percent as compared to 18.59 percent for the previous year period. Operating Income for the quarter was Rs 2,611.80 million, compared with Rs 2763.7 million in the previous year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 9.54, registering 9.57% decline over previous year period.
