Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals announced a sharp rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended June 2015. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 81.10% to Rs 1,463.20 million from Rs 807.96 million in the same quarter previous year.
Revenues for the quarter rose 22.24% to Rs 24,402.32 million, compared with Rs 19,962 million for the prior year period.
Operating margin for the quarter stood at 6.98 percent as compared to 6.89 percent for the previous year period. Operating Income for the quarter was Rs 1,703.89 million, compared with Rs 1375.05 million in the previous year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 3.52, registering 81.44% growth over previous year period.

Shares of the company gained Rs 6.35, or 10.1%, to trade at Rs 69.25. The total volume of shares traded was 1,029,536 at the BSE (3.33 p.m., Monday).
