Bhushan Steel said its net loss for the quarter ended March 2016 has widened to Rs 6,704.70. It reported a net loss of Rs 3,607.70 million in the same quarter previous year.

Revenues for the quarter rose 28.45% to Rs 31,083.50 million, compared with Rs 24,199 million for the prior year period.

Earnings per share stood negative at Rs 29.82 compared with negative Rs 16.05 in the same quarter last year.

Shares of the company declined Rs 0.3, or 0.82%, to trade at Rs 36.30. The total volume of shares traded was 21,158 at the BSE (11.28 a.m., Tuesday).
