BEML announced a sharp rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended December 2016. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 2.23 times to Rs 217.40 million from Rs 97.30 million in the same quarter previous year.
Revenues for the quarter declined 14.45% to Rs 7,194.80 million, compared with Rs 8,409.60 million for the prior year period.
Operating margin for the quarter stood at 4.71 percent as compared to 2.75 percent for the previous year period. Operating Income for the quarter was Rs 339.10 million, compared with Rs 231.5 million in the previous year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 5.22, registering 2.23 times growth over previous year period.
