Arvind announced a substantial rise in consolidated net profit for the quarter ended June 2016. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 32.92% to Rs 733.60 million from Rs 551.90 million in the same quarter last year. Revenues for the quarter rose 17.76% to Rs 21,041.30 million, compared with Rs 17,868 million for the prior year period.
Operating margin for the quarter stood at 11.48 percent as compared to 11.62 percent for the previous year period. Operating Income for the quarter was Rs 2,414.80 million, compared with Rs 2076.6 million in the previous year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 2.84, registering 32.71% growth over previous year period.
Jayesh Shah, director & chief financial officer said, ''Our textiles business, which recorded 14% revenue growth, continues to deliver a strong performance as we continue to pursue a calibrated growth strategy. The brands business continues to demonstrate strong growth with 26% growth in Q1. Our established power brands consolidated their market positions. We are also excited about India's first true Omni Channel experience - NNNow.com which we launched during Q1. NNNow.com redefines shopping for Indian consumers by linking online and offline retail shopping experience''.

Shares of the company gained Rs 5.9, or 2.01%, to trade at Rs 299.25. The total volume of shares traded was 619,560 at the BSE (2.36 p.m., Thursday).
