Gold, silver trade higher in futures market

Gold and Silver are trading higher in futures market on Friday. Gold futures gained Rs 48.00 or 0.18 percent to trade at Rs 27,467.00 per 10 gram at the Multi-Commodity Exchange (MCX). Silver futures gained Rs 150.00 or 0.4 percent to trade at Rs 37,436.00 per KG at the MCX.

Kedia Commodity Comtrade expects gold trading range for the day is 27,103-27,977. Gold extended losses as traders reassessed their expectations for the timing of the first U.S. rate The Fed said it would keep rates on hold at least until June and reiterated its pledge to be ''patient'' on raising interest rates. SPDR gold trust holdings gained by 5.67 tonnes i.e. 0.75% to 758.37 tonnes from 752.7 tonnes.
