Gold and silver are trading lower in futures market on Friday. Gold futures declined Rs 134 or 0.54 percent to trade at Rs 24,584 per 10 gram at the Multi-Commodity Exchange (MCX). Silver futures fell Rs 180 or 0.53 percent to trade at Rs 33,840 per KG at the MCX.
Commenting on the outlook on bullion, Kedia Commodity Comtrade said, ''Gold trading range for the day is 24,436-24,976. Gold sentiments remain weak as dollar rose after data showed the U.S. economy improved in the Q2, supporting views that the Fed would lift rates by year-end.
Silver trading range for the day is 33,550-34,420. Silver settled flat as prices seen under pressure as investors continued to assess the likely timing of a Federal Reserve rate hike expected this year.''
