Industrial metal prices closed sharply higher in the global markets on Thursday. Tin gained the most with the rise of 3.21 percent followed by Nickel (1.64 percent), Copper (1.43 percent), Lead (1.19 percent) and Zinc (0.73 percent) at the London Metal Exchange (LME).
Copper prices rose $83.50 or 1.43 percent to settle at $5,905.50 per MT at the London Metal Exchange (LME). Aluminium prices went up $11.50 or 0.61 percent to close at $1,897.50 per MT. Zinc prices went up $20.00 or 0.73 percent to close at $2,752.50 per MT.
Nickel prices gained $150.00 or 1.64 percent to close at $9,275.00 per MT. Lead prices went up $27.00 or 1.19 percent to close at $2,292.00 per MT. Tin prices jumped $625.00 or 3.21 percent to close at $20,075.00 per MT.
