Welspun Corp has won orders from a customer in India for supply of 100K MTs pipes for water projects in India. With the addition of this order, current order book of the company has crossed 699 K MTs worth Rs 42 billion.

Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was lower by 70.74% to 308,575 compared with 22-day average volume of 1,054,532.

Welspun Corp is currently in four businesses viz Line Pipes, Energy, Infrastructure & Steel and enjoys a global leadership position in the first two businesses.

Shares of the company gained Rs 2.8, or 2.45%, to trade at Rs 117.15. The total volume of shares traded was 30,850 at the BSE (9.47 a.m., Friday).
