Reliance Power, Anil Ambani led company engaged in development and operation of power projects, witnessed a rise in share price on Wednesday after it reported a rise of 2.99% in its consolidated net profit to Rs 2.76 billion as compared to Rs 2.69 billion in the same period last year.
 
Total income for the quarter increased 22.22% to Rs 15.84 billion from Rs 12.96 billion in the year ago period.

Shares of Reliance Power are trading at Rs 54.55, up Rs 1, or 1.87% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Wednesday at 10:54 a.m.

Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was lower by 72.81% to 2,159,303 compared with 22-day average volume of 7,941,155.
