NIIT, an IT learning solutions provider, witnessed a sharp fall in share price on Monday after the IT training services provider said that its chief executive officer (CEO) Rahul Keshav Patwardhan has tendered his resignation.

Shares of NIIT are trading at Rs 74.90, down Rs 7.95, or 9.60% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Monday at 10:24 a.m.

The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 80.40 and low of Rs 73.80. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 1,251,817.

Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was higher by 11.80% to 1,251,817 compared with 22-day average volume of 1,119,708.
