HCL Infosystems surges on inking MoU with Omantel

HCL Infosystem, witnessed a rise in share price on Tuesday after the company has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Omantel, the first telecom operator in the Sultanate  to deliver Internet of Things (IOT), Machine to Machine (M2M) services, enhance automation, accelerate efforts to optimise network capabilities and roll-out large-scale ICT services and solutions across Oman.

This MoU is part of Omantel's strategy to increase business agility and deliver innovative offerings and e-Government solutions to support growth in the increasingly connected and knowledge-based economy in Oman. With this MoU, HCL Infosystems a part of HCL Enterprise, a USD 7 billion company has expanded its global presence to enter the Oman market.

Shares of H C L Infosystems are trading at Rs 41.45, up Rs 1.9, or 4.80% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Tuesday at 10:18 a.m.

The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 43.80 and low of Rs 40.15. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 364,288.

Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was lower by 54.34% to 1,629,851 compared with 22-day average volume of 3,569,246.
