ALTBalaji, the largest digital platform for exclusive and original shows from India, has announced its content availability on Opera TV. This means that all Smart TVs, 81u-ray disc players and set-top boxes powered by Opera TV, will provide instant access to over 250 hours of original content from ALTBalaji. Simultaneously, ALTBalaji subscribers will now be able to access the service using the Opera N store.

ALTBalaji was launched globally on April 16, 2017 with 6 original shows, the app has already clocked more than 3mn downloads and subscribers from over 75 countries. On the other hand, Opera N is the market leader in enabling OTT through its embedded and cloud software portfolio that is integrated by manufacturers and operators. In the past 5 years, over 150 million connected TV devices have been enabled by Opera TV, awarding it a global market share of 33 percent in Smart TVs.

Shares of the company declined Rs 3.65, or 2.6%, to settle at Rs 136.95. The total volume of shares traded was 113,711 at the BSE (Friday).
