Reliance Communications (RCom) witnessed a sharp fall in share price on Monday after the company swung to a loss for the quarter ended March 2017. During the quarter, the company reported a loss of Rs 9,480 million compared with a profit of Rs 790 million in the same quarter last year.
Revenues for the quarter declined 24.35% to Rs 45,240 million, compared with Rs 59,800 million for the prior year period.
Shares of Reliance Communications are trading at Rs 22.45, down Rs 3.35, or 12.98% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Monday at 10:55 a.m.
The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 25.65 and low of Rs 21.95. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 4,496,496.
Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was higher by 80.05% to 29,728,423 compared with 22-day average volume of 16,511,302.
