NBCC receives Rs 4 bn order from Govt of India

NBCC (India) has received in principle approval from Dept. of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India for Conceptualizing, Designing & Construction of 'India Pavilion at World Expo-2020 to be held in Dubai from Oct-2020 to Apr-2021' which would likely to cost approx. Rs 4 billion.

World Expo 2020 is a global platform for countries to showcase their achievements and abilities. Expecting an international audience of millions including global companies, academic institutions and investors, the Expo is themed 'Connecting Minds Creating the Future'.

India is participating with the sub theme of 'OPPORTUNITY' to showcase its own growth story on a global stage, its strength and ample opportunities in space, aviation, defence, IT, pharmacy, biotechnology, etc. and Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industries, Government of India will organize India Pavilion in an area of 4600 sq. mtrs (approx).

Shares of the company gained Rs 1.65, or 2.69%, to trade at Rs 63.10. The total volume of shares traded was 435,988 at the BSE (12.03 p.m., Tuesday).
