JSW Steel crude steel production down 3% in Q4

JSW Steel, an integrated steel manufacturer, has recorded a fall of 3% quarterly in crude steel production to 3.06 million tons for Q4 FY 2014-15. The crude steel production is lower in Q4 FY'15 mainly due to shutdown of about 47 days taken for annual maintenance of one of the blast Furnace at Vijayanagar works.
 
Production of rolled products was at 2.47 million tons during the quarter, witnessing a fall of 1% over last year period.
 
Production of rolled products-long was at 0.48 million tons during the quarter.
 
The company achieved cumulative crude steel production of 9.57 million tons in the first nine months of FY'15 showing a growth of 6% over the corresponding period of last year.

Shares of the company gained Rs 8.4, or 0.88%, to trade at Rs 965.60. The total volume of shares traded was 58,468 at the BSE (11.54 a.m., Monday).
