Aban Offshore, one of the leading offshore drilling contractors, announced that ''Deep Drilling 7 Pte Ltd and Deep Drilling 8'' wholly owned step-down subsidiaries of the company, have redeemed the outstanding bonds issued by them having an aggregate principal amount of USD 216 million (equivalent to Rs 13.35 billion) alongwith accrued interest on the due date (i.e) Mar. 5, 2015.

Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was higher by 221.27% to 797,911 compared with 22-day average volume of 248,364.

Shares of the company gained Rs 27.55, or 5.73%, to trade at Rs 508.05. The total volume of shares traded was 459,333 at the BSE (9.47 a.m., Thursday).
