Plastiblends India disclosed a sharp rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended March 2014. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 59.92% to Rs 67.59 million from Rs 42.26 million in the same quarter previous year.
Net sales for the quarter rose 9.59% to Rs 1,244.51 million, compared with Rs 1,136 million for the prior year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 5.20, registering 60.00% growth over previous year period.

Shares of the company gained Rs 6.35, or 4.96%, to settle at Rs 134.30. The total volume of shares traded was 7,441 at the BSE (Wednesday).
