Vijaya Bank announced a drop in standalone net profit for the quarter ended June 2018. During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 43.33% to Rs 1,443.40 million from Rs 2,546.90 million in the same quarter previous year.

Total Income for the quarter rose 12.13% to Rs 39,357.70 million, compared with Rs 35,101 million for the prior year period.

Shares of the company gained Rs 2.75, or 5.52%, to trade at Rs 52.60. The total volume of shares traded was 395,008 at the BSE (2.59 p.m., Monday).
