Oriental Hotels Q1 net sales jumps 472.56% to Rs 246.2 mn

Oriental Hotels, engaged in the business of hoteliering, including accommodation, restaurants and catering services, on standalone basis, reported a quarterly net loss at Rs. 168.3 million in June 2021 from Rs. 234 million in June 2020.  Net sales of the company increased by 472.56% at Rs 246.2 million for Q1FY22 as compared Rs 43 million for the corresponding quarter previous year.

EBITDA came negative at Rs. 117.7 million in June 2021 up 44.35% from Rs. 211.5 million in June 2020.Oriental Hotels EPS stands negative at Rs 0.94 in June 2021.

Pramod Ranjan, Managing Director & CEO, Oriental Hotels said, “The second wave of COVID-19 has taken a significant toll on the travel and hospitality sector. However, the company witnessed some green shoots of recovery through both corporate and leisure business.

Shares of the company declined Rs 0.15, or 0.41%, to settle  at  Rs 36.20.  The total volume of shares traded  was  8,665 at  the BSE (Tuesday).
