GAIL (India), the largest gas transmission and marketing company in India, reported a 47.4% decline in consolidated net profit to Rs 24.87 billion in Q4 FY21 compared with Rs 47.28 billion in Q4 FY20.
Revenue from operation fell 12.16% to Rs 157.57 billion in Q4 FY21 as against Rs 179.38 billion in Q4 FY20. Profit before tax dropped 10.56% to Rs 32.19 billion in Q4 FY21 over Q4 FY20.
The PSU company posted a 34.8% decline in net profit to Rs 61.36 billion for the year ended March 2021 as against Rs 94.22 billion in the year ended March 2020. Revenue from operations plunged 20.87% to Rs 574.28 billion in FY21 over FY20.
Shares of the company declined Rs 5.6, or 3.34%, to settle at Rs 162.20. The total volume of shares traded was 3,218,268 at the BSE (Wednesday).
