Ajanta Pharma, a company engaged in manufacturing & marketing of pharmaceutical products on February 3 reported a 64% rise in its consolidated net profit to Rs 1,770 million for the quarter-ended December on account of robust sales.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 1,080 million for the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.

Consolidated revenue from operations of the company grew 15% to Rs 7,490 million for the quarter compared to Rs 6,510 million for the same period a year ago.

EBITDA increased 30% to Rs 2,420 million for the quarter against Rs 1,860 million for the same period a year ago.

Ajanta Pharma EPS increased to Rs 20.41 in the December 2020 compared to Rs 12.32 in December 2019.

Shares of the company gained Rs 79.05, or 4.53%, to trade at  Rs 1,825.20.  The total volume of shares traded  was  26,654 at the BSE (2.36 p.m., Wednesday).
