ACC, one of the leading cement makers, today announced a fall of 40.84% in consolidated in first quarter earnings. It earned consolidated net profit to Rs 2.36 billion for the quarter ended Mar. 31, 2015 as compared to Rs 3.99 billion in the same period last year.

Total consolidated income of the company decreased 0.66% to Rs 31.40 billion for the quarter ended Mar. 31, 2015 from Rs 31.61 billion in the year ago period.

Operating EBITDA rose to Rs 6.09 billion against Rs 4.25 billion in same period of the previous year.

Shares of the company declined Rs 38.85, or 2.38%, to settle at Rs 1,594.60. The total volume of shares traded was 25,788 at the BSE (Monday).
