Tata Motors reported total sale of passenger and commercial vehicles at 40,680 units in August 2015, over 40,883 units in August 2014. The domestic sale of Tata commercial and passenger vehicles for Aug'15 were at 35,478 units, representing a decline of 3% against 36,403 units sold in Aug'14.

Tata Motors passenger vehicles recorded a year-on-year growth of 2%, with sales of 11,194 units, compared to 10,975 units.

In commercial vehicles, M&HCV sales continued to grow at 12,017 units, higher by 31%, over Aug'14. The Light & Small Commercial Vehicle sales however continued to reflect industry decline and were at 12,267 units, a decline of 25% over Aug'14.

The company's sales from exports were 5,202 units, in Aug'15, higher by 16% compared to 4,480 units in Aug'14. The cumulative sales from exports for the fiscal stood at 23,790 units, higher by 25%, over 19,070 units, sold last year.
