Siemens disclosed a sharp rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended June 2015. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 12.94 times to Rs 1,682.60 million from Rs 129.99 million in the same quarter last year.
Revenues for the quarter rose marginally 0.07% to Rs 23,759.94 million, compared with Rs 23,744 million for the prior year period.
Total expenses as a percent of revenues decreased to 91.72 percent from 100.18 percent in the same period last year. This has led to an improvement of 845 basis points in operating margin to 8.28 percent.
Operating margin for the quarter stood at positive 0.18 percent as compared to a negative 0.18 percent for the previous year period. Operating Income for the quarter was Rs 1,966.65 million, compared with an operating loss of Rs 41.63 million in the previous year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 4.72, registering 12.76 times growth over previous year period.
